1. Open Search: the magnifying glass at the bottom of a phone, or Players in the bar along the top of a computer. It opens on Players; switch to Teams at the top of the page.
2. Choose the league, type a few letters of the name and tap it in the list.
3. A player opens on Summary, with Game Log, Team and Insights beside it; today’s prices are in Odds, under Insights. A team opens on its record, with its recent games, standings and splits in the tabs below.

A game log shows the 5 most recent games on the free Apprentice plan and 15 on Disciple. The rest of the profile is the same on both.

Choose a league, a day and how strict to be (Safer, Standard or Bolder), then scan. Each choice is a rule you can read on its card: in the NBA, Standard keeps a prop only if the player missed it at most twice in their last 13 to 15 games, at a price of -400 or better.

Every pick shows its hit rate beside what its price needs to break even, and the picks that clear their price by the most come first. Best Picks comes with Disciple.

A slip is a set of selections you want to follow together. You add its legs from wherever you found them:

1. Tap "Add to slip" on a Best Picks card, on a player’s card in Search, or under the search box when a team is showing.
2. Open "My Slips". Everything you have added is waiting under the "Building" tab.
3. Tap each leg to set its market, side (over or under), line and odds.
4. Type your stake. The combined odds and the projected return update as you go.
5. Tap "Save this slip" when it reads the way you want it.

A slip you are still building lives in this browser only — it is not on your account until you save it. Clearing your browser data, or opening the app on another device, will not carry it across.

It runs through four states, and "My Slips" has a tab for each one, left to right in the order they happen: Building, Saved, Live, Finished.

• Saved is a slip that is priced and stored, waiting for its first game to start.
• It moves to Live on its own once that game is under way. Legs refresh about every 30 seconds while games are running, so you can watch each one close on its line.
• When the last game ends, the app grades every leg and moves the slip to Finished. You do not have to do anything.
• You can also drive it by hand: "Track this live" on a saved slip, "Settle this slip" on a live one, and "Move back to saved" if you settled one too early.

Settling a slip by hand grades every leg against the numbers the feed is showing at that moment. If a game has not finished, that is a part-played line, and it is what the slip gets recorded as. Let the games end and the app settles it for you.

• On a finished slip you can state the result yourself — won, lost, or cashed out. Cashing out asks for the amount you took, because that is the one figure the legs cannot tell.
• Your stated result stands until you move the slip back out of Finished, which clears it — a slip that is running again is not settled, so nothing about it is decided yet.
• Slips are named "Slip #1", "Slip #2" and so on. "Rename slip" gives one a name you will recognise later.
• "Delete slip" removes it for good, and it stops counting toward the figures on your Stats page.

• My Slips opens on your profit, over the last 30 days, 90 days or all time, and "Are you beating the price?", which compares how often you win with how often your prices need you to.
• Betting Stats, in the account menu, is the full record: net profit for a month, six months, a year or all time, your last 10 results, profit over time, and how you do by slip size, market and league.
• It is computed one way: net profit is what came back minus what you staked, and ROI is that net over what you staked.
• Only settled slips count. One still waiting, or in play, is counted as open rather than folded into the profit.

It suggests how much to put on a bet from four answers: your budget, the odds, how likely you think it is to win, and how cautious you want to be. Open it from the calculator icon at the end of the tabs in My Slips, or from "Not sure how much? Suggest a stake" on the slip you are building.

Balanced, the default, stakes half of what the Kelly formula suggests; Cautious a quarter, Bold all of it. If the odds already need more wins than you expect, it tells you to skip the bet.
